BERKELEY -- With three goals in three games, California senior Kaitlyn Fitzpatrick (Pleasanton, Calif.) has been named to the CollegeSoccer360.com Primetime Performers Weekly Honor Roll, the website announced Tuesday.
Fitzpatrick helped Cal make a statement in its final nonconference game, a 3-0 rout of San Francisco, by scoring the game-winning goal and notching two assists. In the Pac-12 home opener vs. Arizona State, Fitzpatrick again had the gamewinner. She scored just 12 minutes into the game with an unassisted breakaway before Arizona State got the equalizer in the second half. With a potential overtime looming, Fitzpatrick took a penalty kick after sophomore teammate Samantha Witteman was fouled and found net for her second and final score of the game. Fitzpatrick now leads the Bears in assists with four, and is second for points (16) and goals (6).
