Clarendon, Fever Advance To Eastern Conf Finals
BERKELEY – Layshia Clarendon was fourth on the team with nine points as the Indiana Fever swept the top-seeded Chicago Sky with a commanding 79-57 victory Sunday to advance to the WNBA Eastern Conference Finals.
Clarendon shot 4-for-7 from the field Sunday at Bankers Life Arena and also added one rebound, one assist and one steal. For the second consecutive game, Clarendon went 1-for-1 from beyond the 3-point line.
In two WNBA playoff games, Clarendon is averaging seven points on 60 percent shooting in just over 16 minutes per game.
The Fever will take on either Atlanta or Washington in the Eastern Conference Final. The Dream and Mystics play the decisive game in their series Monday night. The winner of that series will host Game 1 of the East final on Thursday.
