California opens the NorPac conference schedule today at 2:30pm against #8 Stanford at Stanford's Varsity Turf. The game is scheduled to air live on the Pac-12 Networks Bay Area. Check back at this page regularly for updates.

2:20 p.m. - The Bears starting lineup today is: GK (Hendrickson), D (Swartz, Goni, Gibbens, Swensen), M (Kruggel, Lee, Elmitt), F (Wallstedt, A. Earle, O'Reilly). 

2:34 p.m. - And we are ready to begin! Cal wearing the white kit and Stanford wearing red today on a breezy afternoon in Palo Alto.

2:42 p.m. - Stanford's Elise Ogle with the first shot of the game from close range, but Courtney Hendrickson pulls up the save. 

2:43 p.m. - The Cardinal are able to get one into the cage to take a 1-0 lead courtesy of Alex McCawley in the 8th minute.

2:47 p.m. - Cal's Allie Swartz shown a green card. 

2:50 p.m. - Natalie Gibbens shaken up on the play, and Lexi Collins goes in on the backline.

2:55 p.m. - Stanford's Kristina Bassi shown a green card.

2:57 p.m. - Courtney Hendrickson with back-to-back saves for the Bears, and now Cal on the counter attack.

3:09 p.m. - Penalty Corner awarded to Stanford ... Courtney Hendrickson with the diving save to prevent a goal. Seconds later the exact same sequence with a diving Hendrickson save from a penalty corner.

3:14 p.m. - Yellow Card to Stanford's Alex McCawley as we approach the final minute of the first half.

3:15 p.m. - Halftime. Stanford leads 1-0 here at Varsity Turf. The Cardinal with most of the opportunities here in the opening 35 minutes with a 7-1 shot edge and a 3-0 penalty corner advantage. 

NOTE: Nicole Wallstedt's shot attempt in the 35th minute was the first shot allowed by Stanford in a home game in 106 minutes of action - a span of three games here at Varsity Turf.

3:26 p.m. - We're ready for the second half of play here at Varsity Turf.

3:33 p.m. - Penalty Corner awarded to Stanford, and Courtney Hendrickson makes the save. Subsequent penalty corner also saved by Hendrickson, who has seven saves in the opening 42 minutes of the game.

3:41 p.m. - Stanford scores their second of the game with a goal off a penalty corner, putting the Cardinal ahead 2-0 (60th)

3:49 p.m. - Natalie Gibbens deflects a high shot for the defensive save. 13 minutes remain in this match

3:50 p.m. - Courtney Hendrickson with save No. 9 on a Stanford penalty corner.

3:53 p.m. - Stanford puts in a third goal off the rebound from a penalty corner to take a 3-0 lead with 9:37 remaining.

3:59 p.m. - Cal calls a timeout with 3:53 remaining in this game.

4:06 p.m. - The final score today is #8 Stanford 3, Cal 0. Courtney Hendrickson matches her career-high with 12 saves in the game.
