BERKELEY – Cal wide receiver Bryce Treggs will answer your questions on Twitter via the @CalFootball account this Thursday, Sept. 19. The 45-minute session will begin at 11:30 a.m. PT. Fans are encouraged to start tweeting their questions to Treggs now and during his chat using the hashtag #AskBryce.

Treggs ranks among the leaders in the Pac-12 and nationally in receptions per game (No. 3/7, 9.3 rpg), receiving yards (No. 4/13, 317), receiving yards per game (No. 4/21, 105.7 ypg), punt returns (No. 4/68, 3.7 ypg) and all purpose yardage per game (No. 13/82T, 113.00 ypg).

Treggs leads Cal through the first three games of the 2013 campaign with 28 catches for 317 yards that rank second on the club behind Chris Harper. Treggs scored a touchdown in his most recent game against Ohio State and has led the team in receptions in all three contests. Treggs opened the season with career highs of 13 receptions and 145 yards receiving against Northwestern. He had a career-long 50-yard reception among his eight catches for a team-high 121 yards against Portland State before making seven grabs for 51 yards and the score against Ohio State.

Treggs has already surpassed his stats for the entire 2012 season when he caught 21 passes for 216 yards and one touchdown as a true freshman. Treggs played in the first nine games of 2012 with eight starts before suffering a season-ending injury.

Treggs was added to the watch list Tuesday for the Biletnikoff Award presented annually to college football’s most outstanding receiver, joining Harper who was on the award’s preseason watch list. *Cal’s next home game at Memorial Stadium will be its conference home opener against Washington State on Alumni & Family Weekend (Oct. 5). The Golden Bears also have Pac-12 home games against Oregon State (Oct. 19), Arizona (Nov. 2) and USC (Nov. 9). In addition to the Oregon contest, Cal will play conference games on the road at UCLA (Oct. 12), Washington (Oct. 26), Colorado (Nov. 16) and Stanford (Nov. 23). All 2013 Cal football games will be televised with currently unannounced telecast information and kickoff times to be announced either 12 days or six days in advance of each game.
