BERKELEY – California redshirt junior Andrea Earle has been named the NorPac West Offensive Player of the Week after a seven-point weekend for the Bears.
Earle scored three goals and an assist for seven points in Cal’s home-opening wins over Dartmouth and Liberty. Earle scored the game-winner in both matches to move the Bears to 3-1 on the year. In Friday’s home opener, Earle scored two goals and an assist and to break an early 1-1 tie en route to Cal’s 4-2 win. Against Liberty, Earle scored the lone goal of the match in the 63rd minute. Overall, Earle shot .375 on the weekend with three goals on eight shots. She now leads the team with nine points on the year. She ranks 12th in the NCAA with an average of 1.00 goals per game.
The Bears hit the road this weekend for games against Northwestern and Ohio in Chicago, Ill.
