Pac-12 Networks to Air First Look at The Drive Tonight

BERKELEY – Pac-12 Networks will air a special first look of its new docu-series The Drive tonight immediately following Arizona State’s home opener versus Sacramento State that began at 7 p.m. MT/PT.

The Drive is a 14-part docu-series offering an exclusive look inside the 2013 football season of the Arizona State Sun Devils and California Golden Bears and their quest for the Pac-12 Championship.

The 12-minute uninterrupted preview sets the stage for the series and the storylines that surround both squads. California fans will get a glimpse of the work put in by first-year head coach Sonny Dykes to implement a new offense for the Golden Bears and witness the three-way QB battle in camp that saw freshman Jared Goff rise up to capture the starting spot.

For Arizona State, the sneak preview focuses on the defense as head coach Todd Graham prepares the Sun Devils defensive unit, led by returning All-American DT Will Sutton, to be the key to ASU’s success. Additionally, viewers get an inside look into the Camp Tontazona experience and how its rustic location has served as the backdrop for building the ASU football bond since 1960.

Following the September 5 first look, new episodes of The Drive will debut Wednesdays at 7:00 PM PT across all seven networks all season long.


*Cal’s next game is against Portland State at Memorial Stadium this Saturday, Sept. 7. The game will be televised live nationally by Pac-12 Networks with a kickoff time scheduled for 2 p.m. PT. The game can also be listened to on the Cal IMG Sports Network and flagship radio station KGO 810 AM.

*Cal is in the midst of a string of three straight home games to open the season that will conclude when the Golden Bears host Ohio State on Saturday, Sept. 14, 4 p.m. (FOX/KGO 810 AM). Cal will also play Pac-12 home games against Washington State on Homecoming Weekend (Oct. 5), Oregon State (Oct. 19), Arizona (Nov. 2) and USC (Nov. 9).
