2013 NFL Season Opens with 34 Former Cal Football Players on Rosters

Golden Bears rank second in the Pac-12 and fifth nationally for most former players on NFL rosters.

BERKELEY – The 2013 NFL season begins Thursday with 34 former Cal football players on active league rosters according to ESPN.com. The Golden Bears rank second in the Pac-12 and fifth nationally for former players on current NFL rosters. LSU and USC are tied for first with 42 each followed by Miami, Fla. (41), Georgia (40) and Cal (34).
