Although the Cal football team lost to Northwestern, 44-30, last Saturday, the Bear Raid offense looked impressive. The Bears ran 99 offenisve plays - third most in school history - and produced 548 yards of total offense.
This week, the Bears will look to garner their first win of the 2013 season when they host Portland State on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. If you can't make it to the game, you can either watch on the Pac-12 Networks or tune in to KGO AM 810.
Grimes and the men's soccer team is coming off of back-to-back upset victories over No. 3 Georgetown and No. 2 Maryland last weekend at Edwards Stadium. Cal looks to continue the winning ways when it treks across the bay to face San Francisco on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m.
McGuire and the women's soccer team is undefeated through four games this season at 3-0-1. In addition, the Bears have only allowed three goals through the first four games. Like the men's team, the women's team will also be headed to San Francisco this week. Cal faces Harvard on Friday, Sept. 6, at 4:30 p.m. and UC Davis on Sunday, Sept. 8, at 1:30 p.m. Both games will be played on the USF campus.
Hosted by Todd McKim, Inside the Locker Room features guests from throughout Cal Athletics. In the fall, listeners can expect to hear from Dykes each week, along with players and assistant coaches. In addition, student-athletes and coaches from Cal’s Olympic sports and others with Golden Bear ties will make regular appearances.
Fans coming to the Field Club should enter Memorial Stadium through Gate 2 at the northwest corner of the facility. Cal Dining will offer food for sale, including such items as hamburgers, hot dogs, wings, Portobello sandwiches and sweet potato fries.
Fans can submit questions for any of the guests through Twitter by using the hashtag #LockerRoomLive.
