Former Cal standout Megan Takacs helped Team Canada reach the Gold Medal game in the 2013 Fil Women's World Cup earlier this summer. The United States topped the Canadians in the championship match, 19-5.

In the Gold Medal game, Takacs did all she could to help her squad win the championship, scoring two goals on three shots and also adding a draw control. Her best game of the tournament came in the Canadian's 18-5 win over Wales. Takacs posted a hat trick in that contest.

Takacs, the 2012 and 2013 MPSF Player of the Year and the first All-American in the history of Cal lacrosse, notched 11 points on eight goals and three assists in seven games. The point total was tied for fourth on her team, while the eight goals ranked fourth, as well.
