California lacrosse head coach Ginger Miles recently announced that Allison Comito has been promoted from assistant coach to associate head coach.
"I am thrilled to announce the promotion of assistant coach Allison Comito to associate head coach," Miles said. "Allison has brought a tremendous amount of experience, deep knowledge and passion for the game since arriving at Cal. Her resume speaks for itself, but her experience as a four-time national champion and head coaching experience has helped this program to its success. I have no doubt that Allison's contributions will be a big part of our program's success in the future as Cal lacrosse continues to excel."
A native of Glen Head, N.Y., Comito has been a part of the Cal coaching staff for the past two seasons. She spent seven years as head coach at Stony Brook University prior to joining the Golden Bear coaching staff under Miles.
In 2013, Comito's tutelage helped former Cal standout Megan Takacs garner MPSF Player of the Year honors for the second year in a row, as well as becoming the first All-American in the history of the program.
