Justin Cobbs Sustains Foot Injury

Golden Bear senior guard will be out six to eight weeks

BERKELEY – University of California head men’s basketball coach Mike Montgomery has announced Golden Bears’ redshirt senior guard Justin Cobbs sustained a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot and will be out for a period of six to eight weeks during his recovery. 

Cobbs is Cal’s leading returning scorer (15.1 ppg.) and assist leader (4.8 apg.) from last season. The guard is also the Pac-12 Conference’s active career leader in assists with 324 in only two seasons with the Golden Bears. Cobbs is a two-time All-Pac-12 selection, earning second-team conference honors as a junior last season.
