EINDHOVEN, Netherlands – Lauren Boyle wound up with another freestyle victory – this time at 400 meters – and another New Zealand record on the closing night of the FINA World Cup meet on Thursday at the Pieter van den Hoogenband Swimming Stadium. The California alumna clocked a time of 3:55.16 to claim first place in the short-course 400 free and break the New Zealand record she set in swimming the first leg of the 800-free final on Wednesday.

She went on to win the 800 free in a New Zealand- and World Cup-record time of 8:01.22.

The former Golden Bear has put together a strong set of swims the last few weeks, including her bronze-medal performances in the 400, 800 and 1500 frees in the long-course World Championships in Barcelona.

Boyle moves on to swim in the FINA World Cup meet in Berlin, slated for Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 10-11.
