Sonny Dykes Media Appearances Continue Monday Night and Tuesday

BERKELEY – A series of recent media appearances by Cal head coach Sonny Dykes will continue when Dykes appears Monday evening on the Yahoo! Sports Talk Live show on CSN Bay Area and Tuesday morning on the Murph & Mac show on KNBR 680 AM.

Dykes will appear on the Yahoo! Sports Talk Live show hosted by Brodie Brazil along with Stanford head coach David Shaw and San Jose State head coach Ron Caragher. The hour-long show will air four times Monday evening at 5 p.m., 7 p.m., 11:30 p.m. and on Tuesday morning at 1 a.m. PT.

Dykes will join Brian Murphy and Paul McCaffrey live on the Murph & Mac show Tuesday morning at 7:20 a.m. PT.

The recent flurry of media activities in anticipation of the upcoming 2013 season began with three days of events surrounding Pac-12 Football Media Day last Wednesday-Friday. On Monday, Dykes attended the Bay Area College Football Media Day at Hotel Nikko in San Francisco before conducting interviews for KNBR 1050 AM on the Damon Bruce Show and with Jason Ross on the Grant KHTK CBS Sports Radio 1140 AM in Sacramento.

Cal will open training camp with its first practice on Monday, August 5. The Golden Bears host seven games at Memorial Stadium in 2013 beginning with a three-game homestand to open the season against non-conference opponents Northwestern (Aug. 31, 7:30 p.m. PT, ESPN2), Portland State (Sept. 7, 2 p.m. PT, Pac-12 Networks) and Ohio State (Sept. 14, 4 p.m. PT, FOX). Cal will also play Pac-12 home games against Washington State on Homecoming Weekend (Oct. 5), Oregon State (Oct. 19), Arizona (Nov. 2) and USC (Nov. 9).

Cal’s road games in 2013 are at Oregon (Sept. 28), UCLA (Oct. 12), Washington (Oct. 26), Colorado (Nov. 16) and Stanford (Nov. 23). The Oregon contest will be televised by Pac-12 Networks.

All other television coverage and remaining kick times will be announced at later dates.
