BERKELEY – Cal head coach Sonny Dykes will make a pair of radio appearances Monday when he is scheduled to be interviewed live on KNBR 1050 AM on the Damon Bruce Show (2:40 p.m. PT) and on KHTK 1140 AM in Sacramento by host Jason Ross (3:10 p.m. PT).
Dykes will also represent Cal earlier in the day at the 2013 Bay Area College Football Media Day along with sophomore cornerback Stefan McClure and sophomore offensive tackle Freddie Tagaloa. The event is presented by the Fight Hunger Bowl and will be held Monday at Hotel Nikko beginning at 10:30 a.m. PT.
CalBears.com and @CalFootball will provide both live coverage of the event and a recap of the day’s activities.
Stanford head coach David Shaw and San Jose State head coach Ron Caragher will also be in attendance, as will Cardinal players senior linebacker Shayne Skov and senior offensive tackle David Yankey, and Spartan players senior wide receiver Noel Grigsby and senior cornerback Bene Benwikere.
Cal will open training camp with its first practice on Monday, August 5. The Golden Bears host seven games at Memorial Stadium in 2013 beginning with a three-game homestand to open the season against non-conference opponents Northwestern (Aug. 31, 7:30 p.m. PT, ESPN2), Portland State (Sept. 7, 2 p.m. PT, Pac-12 Networks) and Ohio State (Sept. 14, 4 p.m. PT, FOX). Cal will also play Pac-12 home games against Washington State on Homecoming Weekend (Oct. 5), Oregon State (Oct. 19), Arizona (Nov. 2) and USC (Nov. 9).
Cal’s road games in 2013 are at Oregon (Sept. 28), UCLA (Oct. 12), Washington (Oct. 26), Colorado (Nov. 16) and Stanford (Nov. 23). The Oregon contest will be televised by Pac-12 Networks.
All other television coverage and remaining kick times will be announced at later dates.
