BERKELEY – Emily Csikos capped off a decorated college career by being named a second team All-American by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches on Monday, while Dana Ochsner earned third team honors and Breda Vosters was honorable mention.
The selection makes Csikos a four-time All-American. She was honorable mention as a freshman and garnered first-team honors after her sophomore and junior seasons.
Ochsner and Vosters, meanwhile, each captured All-American honors for the third straight season. Ochsner was a second team pick in each of the previous two seasons. Vosters was named to the third team as a sophomore and earned first team recognition after her junior year.
Csikos, who took last season off to train with the Canadian National Team, led the Bears this season with 49 goals and leaves the program as the Bears’ all-time leading scorer with 216 goals in her career. Vosters was third on the team in scoring with 29 goals despite missing four matches with an injury. Ochsner netted 23 goals on the season.
The Bears, whose 2014 squad departed Monday for Kazan, Russia for the World University Games, went 17-7 in 2013 and finished the season ranked No. 5 in the country.
