Cal Leads Pac-12 All-Academic Honors

BERKELEY - California led all Pac-12 teams with three members selected with first or second team Pac-12 All-Academic honors.

The Bears were led by first team selections Morgan Thompson and Jacqueline Williams in addition to second team selection Nicola Rössler to lead the conference with the most selections on the first and second teams combined and match the 2010-11 team for the most first and second team selections in a year in program history.

Williams, a senior psychology major with a 3.64 cumulative grade point average, earned first team honors for the second consecutive season. Thompson earned first team honors in her first season eligible as a sophomore with a 3.73 cumulative grade point average. Rössler, an honorable mention selection last season, was a second team selection this year as a business administration major with a 3.56 cumulative grade point average.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
