BERKELEY - Cal women's swimming coach Teri McKeever has been invited to speak at the Leaders in Performance summit, which takes place today and Wednesday at the Bloomberg LP World Headquarters in New York City.

Leaders in Performance is an annual gathering of some of the most accomplished figures in sports worldwide. Approximately 300 elite performers are expected to attend to share philosophies and develop networks.

"I am excited to have the opportunity to interface with global leaders in the arena of elite performance and performers," said McKeever, the head coach of the U.S. women's swim team at the 2012 London Olympics. "I am looking forward to learning from an extensive group of professionals as well as offering my own insight from personal experiences at Cal as well as USA Swimming."

Other speakers during the summit include Alan Ashley of the United States Olympic Committee and Bob Bowman, longtime coach of decorated Olympian Michael Phelps.

Cal High Performance Director Keith Power is a member of the Leaders in Performance advisory board.
