The No. 17/20 Golden Bears (35-15, 9-12 Pac-12) close out their regular season with a three-game series against No. 12/11 Washington (36-14, 14-7 Pac-12) in Seattle. Cal begins its final weekend Thursday at 5 p.m., then plays at 7 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday. Friday and Saturday's games will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks.

Cal's final home series ended with Stanford's first-ever series sweep of the Golden Bears in Berkeley. The Cardinal won 13-5, 17-2 in five innings and 7-5.

On Sunday, the NCAA will announce the 64 teams who will be sent to one of 16 regional sites. NCAA Softball Championship Regionals will be held May 16-19 on selected campus sites. The bracket will be annouced live on ESPNU at 7 p.m. PT.

SCOUTING REPORT: WASHINGTON

The Huskies are tied for second with Arizona State in the Pac-12 with a 14-7 conference record, ranked third for team batting average (.313) and runs scored (.312). At No. 13 in the RPI, a pair of wins over the Huskies could potentially help No. 17 Cal regain its status in the top 16 teams based on RPI and benefit the Bears' regional placement.

Victoria Hayward tops the team with a .375 batting average in a full 50 starts with a 19 for 21 record in stolen bases. Kaitlin Inglesby may be Cal's biggest threat with her .340, also in 50 starts, including 10 homers and 51 RBI. At .368, Hooch Fagaly owns 20 extra-base hits and 45 RBI. Washington has totaled 51 home runs, just three less than Cal this season.

Washington's pitching staff ranks middle of the pack in the conference, with Inglesby and Bryana Walker shouldering most of the workload. Inglesby (20-6) is a definite dual-threat with a 1.73 ERA in 32 games played at pitcher in addition to her batting statistics. Walker (14-7) owns a 3.06 ERA and has given up 39 extra-base hits, keeping opponents at a .236 batting average.
