BERKELEY - After the Cal men's basketball team reached the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in five years this past March, Cal fans have a lot to look forward to in 2013-14. The best way to support the Golden Bears is by purchasing season tickets, starting at just $136 for youth and seniors. They can be easily reserved by calling (800) GO BEARS (462-3277) and selecting option 3 or online by clicking here.
The excitement never wavered inside Haas Pavilion last season. Fans were treated to wins over NCAA Tournament teams Oregon, UCLA and Colorado. Head coach Mike Montgomery posted his 100th win at Cal. And Allen Crabbe starred on his way to earning Pac-12 Player of the Year honors.
The Bears have posted their winningest five-year stretch in more than 50 years with 109 total victories with Montgomery at the helm of the Golden Bears, and there are no signs of slowing down. With a top-20 incoming recruiting class and a stacked Pac-12 conference schedule, Cal's 2013-14 season is highly anticipated. In addition to the solid core of returning players, the Bears will be joined by McDonald's All-American Jabari Bird, hailing from Richmond, Calif., and newcomers Roger Moute a Bidias, Jordan Mathews, Sam Singer and Kameron Rooks.
"The energy in the building last year was amazing, especially as we closed out the season," said Rob Kristiniak, director of ticket sales for Cal Athletics. "This season, we wanted to give our fans more time to get on board and build on the excitement of last season."
The atmosphere inside Haas Pavilion was electric in 2012-13 thanks to the dedicated Cal fans who made Berkeley one of the toughest places for visiting teams to play. In addition to the action on the court, the new family-friendly activities outside added to an already festive environment. From giveaways to kids' days and food trucks to beer gardens, there was something for everyone, which will continue to grow this coming season. It's what makes Cal men's basketball in Berkeley a uniquely memorable experience for fans of all ages.
