Public Transportation

Public transportation is the recommended option at all times when traveling to campus for Cal football games.

BART

Two convenient BART stations serve Berkeley for Golden Bear games each fall. The Downtown Berkeley BART Station is located on Shattuck Avenue between Center and Addison streets, one block from the western edge of the Cal campus. Fans can either walk up the hill to Memorial Stadium or pick up a shuttle near the corner of Center and Oxford at the West Crescent entrance to the university one block away that will take them to the stadium. The charge for the shuttle is only $1.

The Rockridge BART Station takes fans to College Avenue in Oakland, where they can board buses for the ride to the stadium. Buses will stage outside Memorial Stadium postgame for the return trip back to Rockridge BART.

For more information on BART, including schedules and rates, visit bart.gov.

Capital Corridor

For fans who like the relaxed feel of a train, Amtrak's Capitol Corridor serves Berkeley from the Sacramento and San Jose areas and beyond. Get off at the Berkeley station near Third Street and University Avenue, then board a bus straight to the game.

For more information on the Capitol Corridor, visit capitolcorridor.org.

Bus Service

Silverado Stages provides bus service to Cal football games from the Rockridge BART Station, near the Berkeley Amtrak Station at Third Street and University Avenue and other points in the East Bay, starting three hours prior to game time.

After the game, fans can board return buses on Piedmont Avenue directly across from the west side of Memorial Stadium.

The fare is $5.00 roundtrip. For more information, including routes and pre-event purchasing, visit calbearsbus.com.

Parking

All parking spaces on campus are reserved for those fans who purchased season permits before the start of the season. A small number of spaces in city-owned lots (see ci.berkeley.ca.us) or private lots may be available on gamedays. Ticket holders are reminded not to park on residential streets on gamedays when parking fines double (areas A, B and D). Information on disabled parking can be found here.
