August 25     Battle of the Bears/Big C Society Welcome Back BBQ 

Who: All student-athletes 

Food, Fun and Good times with your fellow student-athletes


August 31       Bear SAAC Kick-Off Meeting

Who: Any student-athletes interesting in attending 

Have a voice in athletic department issues, plan programming, get involved!

Subsequent meetings start September 14 and run every two weeks...


September 13    Fall Speakers Bureau - Linda Hancock

Who: Mandatory for all student-athletes 

High energy/interactice presentation on substance abuse and its effects


 October 3     College Sports Day 

Who: Mandatory for each team that is not traveling that day 

Athletic department wide community engagement event that gives local youth an

opportunity to learn more about college athletics.  Each team will provide a fun kid's game/booth

related to their sport and sign autographs.


October  18  Professional Polish

Who: Senior student-athletes

 Learn proper etiquette and protocol for business dinner.

Includes 4 course mean to practice your skills.

 Dress to impress...wear appropriate business attire.

Who: Sophomore student-athletes 

Learn how to handle everything from sports banquets to donor receptions.
