CALIFORNIA: A senior butterflier...also swims individual medley events.

AS A JUNIOR IN 2002-03: Scored points for the Bears at the NCAA Championships as a member of the 200 medley relay team (third leg) that finished third...won the consolation final in the 200 IM at the Pac-10 Championships...swam the third-leg on Cal's 200 medley relay team that finished second at the conference championship...swam Cal's second-fastest time of the season in the 200 IM (2:02.58) and third-fastest in the 100 (1:04.24) and 200 breast (2:18.81) and 400 IM (4:19.31)...earned her second-consecutive Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention selection.

SOPHOMORE IN 2001-02: Helped the Bears score points at the Pac-10 Championships in the ...honorable mention Pac-10 All-Academic pick.

FRESHMAN IN 2000-01: Earned honorable mention All-America recognition as a member of Cal's 800 free relay (lead-off leg) that placed 14th at the NCAA Championships...had the team's second-best time in the 400 IM (4:19.56) and the third-best times in the 200 fly (2:02.87) and 200 IM (2:02.12).

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2000 graduate of Hampton Roads Academy in Newport News, VA...was the 1999 Virginia Swimmer of the Year...set Virginia state records in the 200 IM and 400 IM...was a two-time MVP of the Virginia Senior Championship...a Senior National Qualifier in nine events in high school.

PERSONAL: Majoring in interdisciplinary studies...parents are Douglas and Gisela Griffith of Newport News, VA...born 11/2/81 in Hampton, VA.
