Tsai, who earned All-American honors at Cal from 2005-07, also participated for her native Hong Kong in the 2000 and 2004 Olympics. She holds 14 Hong Kong records and earned the Best Swimmer Award from 1998-2001 by the Hong Kong Swimming Coaches Association. Tsai has had plenty of International exposure as well, competing in the in the 2001 East Asia Games, the 2005 World University Games (where she broke two Hong Kong backstroke records) and the 2006 Pan Pacific Championships.

• 2007 All-American - 100 backstroke, 53.93, 11th, HM; 200 free, 1:45.04, 10th, HM
• 2006 All-American - 400-yard freestyle relay (6th), 200-medley relay (4th)

• 2006 Pan Pacific Championships: sixth in 100-meter back consolation final (1:03.12), led off sixth-place 400-medley relay, sixth place with 800-free relay, seventh place with 400-free relay
• Her 1:02.99 to lead off Hong Kong's 400 medley relay at 2006 Pan Pacs is a personal record
• 2006 Janet Evans Invitational: fifth in 50-meter free (26.26), sixth in 100 back (1:04.30), seventh in 200 IM (2:20.84), 18th in 100 free (57.78)
• 2006 FINA Short Course World Championships: 15th in 50-meter back (28.58), 15th in 100 back (1:00.84), 17th in 200 back (2:17.06), 13th in 100 IM (1:02.64)
