Former baseball standout Dan Parajon enters his fourth year as the volunteer coach for the Golden Bears.
Parajon currently works in the parking and transportation enforcement department at Cal. Alongside his duties at the University, Parajon served as head softball coach at Bishop O'Dowd High School in Oakland (1998-02), where he coached former Cal slugger Veronica Nelson.
From 1993-99, he coached the Alameda Stars ASA team. Parajon has held clinics in Alameda, specializing in pitching and catching, and continues to offer private instruction lessons.
Parajon played center field at Laney College in Oakland from 1990-92. Professionally, he rose as high as the Triple-A Pacific Coast League.
A graduate of Skyline High School in Oakland, Parajon resides in Castro Valley with wife Shay and daughters Makayla and Makenzia.
