It Runs in the Family:
Unlike some of her teammates, Cassandra Vega has always been a Cal fan. Her uncle, David Ortega, played football at Cal so she's been a Bear fan since she was very little. One of her favorite things about Cal is that everyone knows what she's talking about when she says, "Go Bears!"

Why I Have My Number:
"My original favorite number is 40 because of Uncle David, but I couldn't get it here. My second favorite is 12 because I was 12 on my club team. I also love it because Terry Bradshaw from my favorite team - the Pittsburgh Steelers - was number 12."

My Walk-Up Songs Are:
"`Buzzin' by Mann because I like the beat and it pumps me up. `Get Your Money' by Nicki Minaj, Keri Hilson and Keyshia Cole because the beat pumps me up and because it's sung by three successful women."
