Former Cal star Vicky Galindo enters her first year as an undergraduate assistant with the Bears. The three-year starter for the Bears finished her collegiate career in 2005 and is working on completing her degree at UC Berkeley this year. Galindo, a two-time first team All-American, helped the USA national team advance to the title game of the World Cup of Softball last summer.
As a senior in 2005, Galindo batted .342 with 49 runs scored, 11 doubles, four home runs and 19 stolen bases. The Union City native finished her career with a .342 batting average. Galindo transferred to Cal after one year at West Valley College.
