California - 2002: Sat five seat in the Pac-10 and IRA winning JV eight. That boat holds the JV course record at the National Championship Cooper River course...2001: Rowed five in the Pac-10 silver-medal and IRA bronze-medal winning Cal freshman eight.
National Team: Was a member of the Irish U23 National Team in 2001 and 2002...placed 17th in the single scull at the 2001 World Championships...won the silver medal in the single scull at the 2001 World U-23 Regatta. The winner of the race was Nito Simonsen, also a Cal alum...member of the Irish junior national team from 1996-98...finished 11th at the '98 junior worlds in the single scull.
Personal: Turned to coaching after repeated injuries forced a premature end to his active rowing career...still an undergrad doing a celtic studies major, city planning minor...intending on going to grad school for the latter...hobbies include cooking, Tim's big mug, reading, traveling and watching movies...parents are Pauline and Vincent Hussey...has three older brothers; Michael, Vincent and Seamus and an older sister, Mary...both Mary and Vincent rowed on the Irish National team...born March 15, 1980 in Tullamore, Ireland.
