Ybarra enters her second year at Cal after playing two seasons at Sacramento City College…should see more minutes at the point this season now that she's healthy...one of Cal's toughest players…played most of the 2000 Pac-10 season with Achilles tendonitis…has excellent court vision…also a versatile scorer…can excite a crowd with flashy, precise passes.

Played in 26 games, making one start at Santa Clara, Dec. 2…was expected to contend for the starting point guard spot but was slowed by an Achilles injury…gutted out about 11 minutes per game during the Pac-10 season until having to sit out the final game vs. Arizona, March 11…finished fourth on the team with 34 assists, which was top among all reserves…dished out a career-high three assists at Arizona (Jan. 6) and at Stanford (Jan. 21)…best game of the season came at Washington, Jan. 29, where she chalked up career-highs for points (5), rebounds (3) and blocks (1), and added 2 assists…posted a career-high three steals at Wake Forest, Dec. 28.
At Sacramento City College:
In her two years in junior college, led her team to the state playoffs and captured all-conference honors twice…as a sophomore, was named 1999 Player of the Year for the Valley Division of the Bay Valley Conference…averaged 13 points, 5 assists, 3 steals and 3 rebounds per game…played in the California junior college all-star game, along with current Cal teammate, Becky Staubes.
Garnered freshman of the year honors in 1993-94…twice ranked among the top 10 in scoring in the Delta Conference...named all-conference and team MVP as a junior and senior...averaged 19 ppg as a senior and 16.3 ppg as a junior...set the school record with 36 points in a game her senior year against Florin, the defending league champion.
