White enters her senior season looking to challenge for the starting small forward spot for the second year in a row...Cal's top returning player for rebounds, assists and the only scholarship senior on the Bears...can play both forward spots, as she can post up and can shoot from the outside...known for her versatility and defensive prowess...her tenacious defense is utilized to hold opponents' top scorers in check.

As a junior in 2001-02: Started 27 of the 28 games she played in at small forward...contributed 5.1 points and 3.9 rebounds per outing...ranked second on the team in rebounding...led Cal with 81 assists (2.9 apg), as she often served as a point forward...led or tied for team-high rebounding honors in six games...paced the Bears with 46 steals (1.6 spg) after swiping a combined 50 during her first two seasons...posted double-figure points on five occasions...recorded a career-high 14 points to lead Cal vs. Arizona Jan. 26...her other top games included against Washington State Feb. 14 (six points, career-high 10 rebounds) and at Arizona Dec. 21 (five points, five rebounds, career-high 12 assists)...the 12 assists tied for the fifth-best total in school history and was the best by a Cal player in six years...named the team's Defensive Player of the Year for the second time.

As a sophomore in 2000-01: Cal's most productive player off the bench as a sophomore...had surgery on her left ankle after the season...also proved to be one of Cal's toughest, as she played through injuries to both of her ankles...named team's Defensive Player of the Year...played in all 28 games and made four starts, averaging 25.1 minutes per game...started against Rutgers, Santa Clara, San Diego State and at Arizona...led all Cal reserves in scoring (4.6 ppg) and rebounding (4.7 rpg)...finished second on the team to Courtney Johnson with 54 assists (1.9 apg)...saw her production increase during Pac-10 games to 5.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game...ranked 15th in the Pac-10 in rebounding for conference games...23 of her 30 steals came in Pac-10 contests...set then-career highs for points (13 at Oregon State Jan. 13), rebounds (nine at Washington State Feb. 24 and vs. Stanford Jan. 20) and assists (6 vs. OSU Feb. 8)... had a career-high five steals at UCLA Feb. 4...led or tied for team-high rebounding honors in seven games.

As a freshman in 1999-00: Earned honorable mention All-Pac-10 freshman distinction...averaged 1.6 points and 2.3 rebounds in 26 games...saw her minutes increase from 10.8 minutes per game overall to 11.5 minutes per game during the conference of the first players off the Bears' bench...led all Cal reserves with 20 steals, including 13 during league games...excelled against nationally-ranked opponents...tallied then-career-highs of 11 points and four steals, along with four rebounds at Pac-10 champion Oregon Feb. 12...also had seven points at No. 9 North Carolina Dec. 30...had a then-career-high five rebounds at Santa Clara (Dec. 2), at Washington (Jan. 29) and vs. UCLA (Feb. 5)...had a career-high three blocks at No. 25 Stanford Jan. 21...dished out a then-career-high five assists at Fresno State Dec. 4.

High School: Played prep ball at Narbonne High School, one of the most heralded high school program's in the a senior, averaged 10 points, nine rebounds, four assists and five steals per game, earning all-league recognition...also shot 47 percent from the field and 77 percent from the foul captain...her senior year team was ranked as one of the top five teams in the United States by USA a junior, helped lead Narbonne to the 1998 CIF Division I state title, averaging 12 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four a junior, was selected honorable mention All-America by Student Sports Magazine...that same year, she was also named all-area and all-city...named all-conference as a sophomore and junior...also played volleyball for one season, earning second team all-league and all-city honors...two-year member of the school's honor roll.

Personal: Amber L. White was born July 20, 1981 in Harbor City, CA...parents are Albert and Paula White...has two older brothers, Jeremey and Lloyd...played at Narbonne with Cal teammate LaTasha O' welfare major.
