Cal Falls To Unbeaten USC In Pac-10 Matchup, 91-57

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - USC, led by Tina Thompson's 19 points, outscored visiting California 57-26 in the second half and went on to beat the Bears 91-57 Friday night in a Pacific 10 Conferece game.

The Bears fell to 1-2 in conference play and 5-7 overall while the Trojans remained unbeaten in conference play at 3-0 and 9-3 overall.

Liz Rizzo was the Bears leading scorer with 11 points and was joined in double figures by Jennie Leander who finished with 10 points.

Cal was able to keep up with the high-powered Trojans in the first half, and trailed by just three points at halftime (34-31). The Bears shot 46 percent from the floor in the first half, but was unable to keep up the hot shooting, making only 31 percent of their second-half shots.

The Trojans finished with five players with 10 or more points.

Cal finishes its Southern California road trip Sunday when it plays at UCLA.
