No. 13 Cal Upsets No. 10 UCLA in the Pool

BERKELEY, Calif. -- The California Golden Bears defeated UCLA women's swim team by only one point Saturday at the Spieker Aquatics Complex. The Bears boost their dual meet record to 13-3, while the Bruins fall to 6-2.

Leaders for the Bears included sophomores Marylyn Chiang and Elli Overton. Chiang won both the 100 (56.62) and 200 back (2:02.02) as well as the 100 fly (55.27), and Overton dominated the 200 free (1:52.01) and the 400 IM (4:22.22).

For the Bruins , Keiko Price, Cindy Bertelink, and Lindsay Etter each won two individual events. In addition, UCLA's Rose Huelskamp also took the one and three meter diving competition. The Bears will next host No. 1 ranked Stanford Friday, Feb. 14 at Spieker.
