Janer did not compete as a JUNIOR in 2008-09...competed in all four competitions in the fall of 2007 as a SOPHOMORE...posted two top-10 finishes, tying for ninth at the Ram Fall Classic to start the season with a career-best score of 221 (+5)...placed seventh at the Kent Youel Invitational with a 221 (+5) to lead the Bears...also in Hawaii, registered her career-low score for 36 holes (147, +3)...fired her collegiate-low score of three-under 69 in the second round of the Hawaii tournament...did not see action in the spring...did not see action as a FRESHMAN in the fall of 2006 due to an elbow injury...in the spring of 2007, competed in five tournaments...earned honorable mention All-Pac-10 after tying for seventh at the Pac-10 Championships with a 226 (+10)...posted her low scores for 18 (74, +2), 36 (150, +6) and 54 holes at the conference meet...co-recipient of Cal's Founders Award with Shannon Yocum.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Colegio Anglo Colombiano High School.
INTERNATIONAL: Five-time Colombia junior national champion (1998, 2000, 2002-04) and finished 2005 ranked as the No. 1 player in her country in both the junior and women's rankings...two-time South American individual runner-up (2002-03)...has won 10 different open championships in Colombia and six tournaments outside her country...represented Colombia in seven junior world championships, in all age categories, finishing twice in the top 10 and six times in the top 20.
PERSONAL: Born Nov. 22, 1988, in Bogota, Colombia...parents are Gonzalo Janer and Martha Gomez...has an older brother, Gonzalo...climbed the Iguaque mountain in Boyaca, Colombia, when she was 15...enjoys music, dancing and hanging out with friends...sociology major.
