Coaching Accomplishments

• Ferrigno, who has more than 30 years of coaching experience, is in his third stint on the Golden Bear staff this season, having also coached at Cal from 1980-81 and from 1996-99.

• Under Ferrigno during the 2006 season, DeSean Jackson was 20th nationally in receiving yards per game (81.54 ypg) and caught a Pac-10-best nine touchdowns, en route to 1,060 yards and first team all-league honors.

• In his five seasons at Oregon, Duck receivers produced 23 100-yard receiving games.

• Helped develop Keenan Howry into a first-team All-Pac-10 receiver in 2001, the Ducks' first all-conference wideout since 1985.

• In 2003, WR Samie Parker became Oregon's all-time leading receiver with 178 catches for 2,761 yards.
• During his one season at USC, Ferrigno coached Kareem Kelly, who finished third in the Pac-10 in receptions with 55 for 796 yards.

• As an assistant at Cal under Steve Mariucci in 1996, helped developed Tony Gonzalez into a first-round NFL draft choice.

• Among Ferrigno's charges at Cal from 1996-99 was Deltha O'Neal, a '99 consensus first-team All-American as a cornerback and return man who set or tied 11 school special teams records and received the Pop Warner Trophy as the top senior on the West Coast.
• Punter Nick Harris (Cal) earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors in 1999, while defensive back Reggie Tongue (Oregon State) was an all-league honoree in 1995.

• Ferrigno is an avid runner who has run a 3:18 marathon.

• Tony Gonzalez (California) - NFL All-Pro tight end with Kansas City Chiefs; first team All-Pac-10 in 1996; drafted No. 13 overall by the Chiefs in 1997
• Samie Parker (Oregon) - Set school records for catches in a game (16), season (77) and career (178); currently a starting wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs
• Keenan Howry (Oregon) - Two-time first-team All-Pac-10 receiver; entering his fourth year with the Seattle Seahawks
• Demetrius Williams (Oregon) - Drafted in the fourth round by the Baltimore Ravens in 2006 after leading Oregon with 59 catches for 1059 yards and 10 TDs in 2005
• Nick Harris (California) - Cal career leader in punts and punting average, entering his seventh year in the NFL, fifth with the Detroit Lions
Accomplishements as a player
• Earned All-America honors as a wide receiver at San Francisco State and signed as a free agent with the Denver Broncos.
• Inducted into the San Francisco State Athletic Hall of Fame, the San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame and the Riordan High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
• Set SFSU records career records for receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns.
