A JC transfer who stepped right in to start 13 games at outside linebacker in his first season at Cal . an athletic linebacker who adds toughness to the defense . possesses good size, along with outstanding speed and quickness . 2003 . ranked sixth on the club in tackles (46), while collecting one sack and five-and-a-half tackles for losses of 17 yards . only game he came off the bench was at UCLA Oct. 18 . stacked up three tackles or more in nine of 13 games . perhaps his best efforts were 7-tackle performances at Kansas State and Utah, and a 3-tackle, 1-sack display against Oregon State . also made significant contributions in the Bears' 52-49 win over Virginia Tech in the Insight Bowl, racking up four tackles (including one for loss) and breaking up one pass.
