Coaching Accomplishments

• In Littlejohn's first season working with the Cal defensive backs, the Bears ranked third in the nation in interceptions with five different backs tallying interceptions.

• Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year Daymeion Hughes ranked third in the nation with eight interceptions.

• During two years at Syracuse, coached a pair of All-Big East defensive backs in Diamond Ferri and Anthony Smith - all four of Syracuse's starting defensive backs went on to the NFL.

• Littlejohn's defensive backfield helped UCLA lead the Pac-10 in total defense and pass efficiency defense, as well as rank second in the league in scoring defense, during the 2001 campaign.

• All four starting defensive backs on UCLA's 2001 team advanced to play in the NFL - Ricky Manning, Matt Ware, Marques Anderson and Ben Emanuel.

• While he was overseeing defensive backs at San Jose State in 2000, the Spartans led the Western Athletic Conference with 15 interceptions.

• Daymeion Hughes (California) - Consensus First_team All-American in 2006; drafted in third round by the Indianapolis Colts

• Ricky Manning, Jr. (UCLA) - Third-round pick by Carolina in 2003; played in the 2004 Super Bowl; three-time first-team All-Pac-10 honoree

• Matt Ware (UCLA) - DB was third-round pick by Philadelphia in 2004; played on Eagles' 2005 Super Bowl team

• Diamond Ferri (Syracuse) - Two-way player who had 226 tackles, six interceptions and 429 rushing yards at Syracuse; now with NFL's Atlanta Falcons

• Anthony Smith (Syracuse) - Third at Syracuse among DBs with 293 tackles ... selected in the third round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers

• Steven Gregory (Syracuse) - Four year starter at Syracuse ... ranked third in school history with 40 passes defensed ... signed with Chargers as a free agent in 2006

Accomplishments as players

• Littlejohn was a two-time first-team all-conference choice and a 1987 honorable mention All-American defensive back at West Texas State.

• Transferred to Fresno State where he played baseball and was a member of the Bulldogs' 1988 College World Series team.
