David Garrett returns to the Cal football program for the 2007 season as the assistant video coordinator. He served in the same position in 2005 as the Golden Bears captured the Las Vegas Bowl Championship. Last year, Garrett was the video coordinator at Boise State when the Broncos completed an undefeated season with a thrilling victory over Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl.

Garrett will assist with video evaluation of practices and games while also working to produce recruiting, motivational and instructional videos for the Bears.

A 2002 graduate of Monmouth College in Illinois, Garrett worked as a graduate assistant football coach at Quincy University for two seasons while earning his master's degree. He has also served as the video coordinator at Furman University.

He lives in Berkeley with his wife Dawn.
