LANEY COLLEGE: Started all possible 20 games at Laney College in Oakland from 2010-11 ... earned first-team All-NorCal Conference honors and the team's Lineman of the Year award for his performance as a 2011 sophomore after picking up the team's Outstanding Freshman Lineman of the Year honors in his 2010 rookie campaign.

ALHAMBRA HS: An honorable mention All-Diablo Foothill Athletic League selection by MaxPreps as a 2009 senior when his squad finished with an 11-2 overall record, won the DFAL title with a 6-0 mark in conference play and advanced to the fourth round of the playoffs ... lettered during each of his final two seasons in which he started all 23 games possible ... a three-star recruit according to Rivals ... also played one season of lacrosse as a prep ... was active in extra-curricular activities outside of sports, serving as student body treasurer as a senior, as well as his final two years as the founder and president of the Future Teachers of America and part of Alhambra Student Leadership.
