An incredibly gifted athlete with plenty of experience...will play a large role in the veteran leadership on the team.
Fall 2006: Missed most of the fall campaign after suffering an injury in the second tournament...entered the fall with an ITA preseason singles ranking of 62 and a doubles preseason ranking of 31 with partner Pierre Mouillon.
2005-06: Finished the season ranked tied for 30th in doubles with partner Conor Niland and 89th in singles...second team all-conference...posted a 9-1 record on the home court and 23-12 overall...on the second court, finished the campaign 13-6...biggest victory of the year came against then-15th-ranked Matt Bruch of Stanford, defeating him in three sets, 6-7, 7-6, 6-1...earned an at-large bid into the NCAA doubles championship with partner, Conor Niland...the duo finished the season with a 7-6 record...they upset then-sixth-ranked Matija Zgaga and Jon Reckewey of Baylor...in the fall, he posted a 7-3 singles record and a 5-4 doubles record.
2004-05: Advanced to the semifinals of the 2005 Pac-10 tournament before losing to teammate Daniel Wallace (6-4, 6-0).
2003-04: Teamed up with doubles partner Daniel Sebescen to upset No. 51 Nicolas Beuque and Pierrick Ysern of San Diego, 8-6, at the 2004 IcyHot/ITA Men's All-American Championships...won his first two collegiate matches at the 2003 Audi Napa Valley Classic...teamed with Dean Wallace to defeat No. 7 UCLA doubles pair in Round of 16 at 2004 Pac-10 tournament, 8-5.
Personal: Parents are Donald and Lindya Browne... sociology major...hopes to go on tour for a year after graduation...member of the Bear SAAC...played futures in Indonesia over the summer.
