SOPHOMORE IN 2004-05: Third (1:40.98) in 200 free vs. UOP...won (1:40.62) the 200 free and third (1:56.95) in 200 IM vs. Florida State...honorable mention Pac-10 All-Academic team member.

FRESHMAN 2003-04: Consolation finalist at Pac-10s in the 200 free in 1:38.11, Cal's second-best time in the event that year...also swam Cal's second-best 200m free time (1:50.98) and fifth-best 200m fly time (2:05.71).

INTERNATIONAL: Two-time Basque country champion in the 200-meter free and 100 fly while competing for Deportivo Fortuna in San Sebastian, Spain (summer 2004). HIGH SCHOOL: A 2003 graduate of Suffield Academy in Suffield, Conn....set five individual high school records in the 50, 100 and 200 free, 100 fly and 200 IM...also was a member of the school-record setting 200- and 400-free relays...three-time New England prep school champion in the 100 fly and 200 free in 2003, and a member of the championship 200 free relay in 2001...helped the North Baltimore Aquatic Club team's 400-medley relay to a third-place finish at the 2003 Summer Nationals...finished third at the 1999 World Championships for Triathlon (promotion division) in Lausanne, Switzerland.

PERSONAL: Undeclared major...parents are David and Annie Holdridge...born Sept. 20, 1983, in Tunis, Tunisia, but was raised in Geneva, Switzerland, until the age of 16.

Why did you decide to come to Cal?
"I came to Cal because it is at the highest level for both academics and athletics. Plus, Cal has great coaches and a great team atmosphere. Plus, it's in such an amazing location!"

What do you plan to accomplish and achieve while at Cal?
"While at Cal, I hope to win a national team championships, as well as, individual titles. I also want to excel academically and fulfill my dream of working in Europe as an international business attorney."
