JUNIOR IN 2004-05: Tied teammate William Copeland for second (21.00) in the 50 freestyle in a dual-meet win over Arizona...second (20.73) in 50 free in win over Michigan...swam third leg of winning 200-free relay (1:20.14) at Texas Invitational...won (20.95) the 50 vs. Florida State...overcame broken knee.

SOPHOMORE IN 2003-04: Swam third leg of 400-free relay that won (2:59.28) at Stanford's Triple Distance Meet.

FRESHMAN IN 2002-03: Swam third leg of 200-free relay that placed third (1:17.39) at NCAAs...earned the team's Most Improved Award...helped 200-free relay team (third leg) to a victory (1:17.92) at Pac-10s...placed second in the 50 free consolation final (20.20) at Pac-10s.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2002 graduate of Miramonte High record-holder in the 50 free (20.99) and 100 free (45.50)...four-time high school All-American...three-time North Coast Scholar Athlete...played varsity water polo for three years.

Why did you decide to come to Cal?
"I decided to come to Cal because it provides a good education and I really wanted to swim and work with coaches Nort Thornton and Mike Bottom."

What do you plan to accomplish and achieve while at Cal?
"I plan on seeing the extent of my abilities in swimming. I hope to be a force at the NCAAs both individually and as a team and to, of course, beat Stanford."
