Cal Places Second In San Diego

San Diego Crew Classic




California: 2012 (Sophomore): Named to the All-Pac-12 team ... part of the varsity eight that took fifth at the NCAA Championships, won the Pac-12 Championship and beat Stanford and Washington.

2011 (Freshman): Rowed on Cal's junior varsity 8+ boat that finished third at the NCAA Championships and second at the Pac-10 Championships.

Personal: Rowed for Capital Crew, and participated on the U.S. Junior National team last summer, taking the silver in the 4- ... won the 2- and the 4+ at regionals in 2010 and placed second in the 2- in 2008 ... won the Coach's Award in 2009 and the Most Inspirational Award in 2010 at St. Francis High School ... one of nine siblings ... parents are Peter Nowinski and Cynthia Larsen ... father and sister, Ivy, attended Cal ... plans on majoring in environmental science, and hopes to attend law school.
