Lingle begins his fourth season on the Cal team this year … originally joined the squad as a walk-on, but has been awarded a scholarship for the 2000-01 campaign … serves as team co-captain along with fellow senior Sean Lampley … a key member of Cal's "gold" team that works out against the starting group in practice.
As a Junior in 1999-2000: Appeared in four games for the Bears … scored the first points of his career and added two assists against Boston University in the first round of the Golden Bear Classic … also hit a three-pointer in Cal's home win over Washington State.
As a Sophomore in 1998-99: Lingle again played in four games … most extensive time came against Eastern Kentucky when he was in for four minutes … got in for a minute of action in Cal's NIT semifinal victory over Oregon.
As a Freshman in 1997-98: Saw action in three games … made the final road trip of the year to Arizona and got into the game at Arizona State.
High School: Lingle earned All-CIF honors for Division II in San Diego as a senior … averaged 17.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg and 4.0 apg his final season at Ramona HS … selected first team all-league and team MVP his senior year … once scored 37 points in a game … led squad to a 23-4 record … averaged 16 ppg and 3 rpg as a junior … voted class valedictorian.
