One of the top guards in California history...was named Cal's MVP three straight years from 1966-68...earned first team All-America honors in 1968 as named by the Helms Athletic Federation...also was an honorable mention selection as a junior in 1967...was a unanimous all-conference first team pick as a senior after earning first-team honors as a junior...at one time was ranked as Cal's No. 4 all-time leading scorer with 1,437 points and earned recognition as once of the highest career scoring average for anybody playing three or more years with a 19.4 ppg average...averaged 15.5 points as a soph and then put back-to-back 21.0 ppg (junior) and 22.0 ppg (senior) seasons together...had a pair of 36-point games (seventh best scoring games in Cal history) vs. Texas in 1965 as a soph and again in 1968 vs. Oregon...ranks No. 5 on Cal's all-time free throw percentage list with a .776 rate (257-331)...was an assistant coach at Cal from 1977-85...served as an assistant at Washington under Lynn Nance for four seasons through 1993.
