Cal Claims 13 Pac-10 All-Academic Spots - March 30, 2011

CAL SUCCESS
• Hayes competed in all three events at the 2011 NCAA Zone E Championships. Her best finish at the qualifying meet for the 2011 NCAA Championships was eighth place on the one-meter springboard with a score of 518.05.
• Also at 2011 zones, she finished 17th on the platform (181.90 in the preliminary round) and 21st on the three-meter springboard (252.20 in the prelim).
• At the 2011 Pac-10 Championships, Hayes placed sixth at one meter (284.75) and seventh on platform (214.55).
• Claimed the Cal Coaches Award for Diving in 2011 for the second time in her career; the first time was in 2009.
• Earned 2011 Pac-10 All-Academic Honorable Mention.
• Competed in the AT&T National Diving Championships in the summer of 2011, taking 25th place on the one-meter springboard with a score of 199.70 in the preliminary round.
• Hayes qualified for nationals by taking fifth place on the one-meter springboard at the 2011 USA Diving National Preliminaries Zone D meet in Tucson, Ariz. She posted a score of 229.05 in the final after notching a score of 231.85 and placing third in the prelim/quarterfinal round.
• At the 2010 NCAA Zone E Championships, she placed 21st in the one-meter springboard preliminary round (238.95) and 25th in the three-meter springboard preliminary round (243.40).
• Before the zone meet, at the 2010 Pac-10 Championships, finished 5th (279.90) in the one-meter springboard final and placed 11th (260.65) in the three-meter preliminary.
• During the 2009-10 season against Fresno State (11/5), won the one-meter springboard final with a score of 257.33.
• At the 2009 NCAA Zone E Championships, she placed a Cal-best 15th in the one-meter springboard final (460.40 points); also competed on the three-meter board (205.05).
• Led the Bears with a 14th-place finish (220.60) at one meter; also 18th (205.50) at three meters and 15th (137.00) on the platform at the 2009 Pac-10 Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL SUCCESS
• A three-time league champion diver at Los Gatos High School.
• Set high school one-meter diving record her junior season.
