Mike Andersen spent four seasons with the Cal football staff from 2007-10 as Director of Player Career Development before retiring from the position in February of 2011. Andersen oversaw life skills coaching as well as the summer and career job placement programs for the players in his role.
Prior to joining the Cal football staff, Andersen spent over 30 years in the mining industry with Utah International and its successor companies. His primary duties included human resources management responsibility for the company's worldwide operating and marketing locations. His foreign postings included Canada and Australia.
Andersen and his wife Marilyn are both graduates of Cal as are their three children Kirsten, Eric and Hilary.
