kafor made a significant contribution during his redshirt freshman season in 2013 when he was inserted as the starter at left tackle with five games remaining in the campaign and the Golden Bears made dramatic improvements on the offensive line. Okafor also earned second-team Pac-12 Academic honors as a redshirt freshman. Okafor was moved to right tackle during the spring of 2014 and battled for the starting job with Brian Farley before being granted a medical redshirt and retiring from football prior to the team’s 2014 training camp while remaining at Cal as a student.
