BERKELEY - Heading into the 2011-12 basketball season, the Golden Bears have added four new freshman faces to a team that will look very familiar, having lost only one senior - center Markhuri Sanders-Frison - from last year's team. This week, Brandon Singer of caught up with freshman guard Rob Filley to get to know him a little better through The Freshman 15.

Filley, a 6'4" guard from Santa Ana, Calif., was a standout player at Foothill High School. He was selected to the All-CIF First Team, All-Century League First Team, and was in the Orange County All-Star Game in both his junior and senior years. In his senior campaign, he averaged 13.3 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game while shooting 50 percent from the field and 46 percent from three-point range. In addition to basketball, Filley was a two-year letterman on the golf team and a Scholar Athlete all four years of high school.
