13 Bears Earn Pac-12 Academic Honors

BERKELEY - Thirteen members of the California women's swimming & diving team earned selection to the Pac-12 All-Academic teams, Commissioner Larry Scott announced on Friday. Sophomore swimmers Casey Mims and Caroline Piehl led the way with second-team status.

To be eligible for selection to the conference academic teams in various sports, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.

The following Cal swimmers earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention: senior Caitlin Leverenz, juniors Catherine Breed, Camille Cheng, Eva Greene, Melanie Klaren, Yvette Kong, Taylor Nanfria and Mikkel-Ane Stipe.
