ZAGREB, Croatia - Former California swimmer Henrique Barbosa continued his strong 2006 campaign by setting a South American record of 2:15.40 in the 200-meter breaststroke at the Golden Bear Swim Meet earlier this month in Croatia. Barbosa, a product of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, who won the 100- and 200-yard breaststrokes as a senior at the 2006 NCAA Championships in March, broke the South American 200-meter mark of 2:15.63 set by countryman Thiago Pereira in 2003.
