COMO, Italy - Today, I woke up at 11 a.m., and it was raining hard. We took a boat tour from Lake Como to Bellagio. At Bellagio, I ate at an Italian restaurant. I got a chicken sandwich to go, it cost four Euros. After that, I went shopping for a purse for my mom. I went to about three different stores and a lady tried to sell me a purse that she claimed was real Italian leather, but it was really synthetic leather. I ended up finding a purse I think my mom will like. I am happy the shopping is over because I do not like to shop.

Well right now, I am sitting here in my hotel room watching MTV and that, besides CNN, is the only other English channel here. Tomorrow, we play our last game. Right now, we are 4-0, so hopefully we will go home 5-0. My favorite parts of this trip have been playing the team from Trieste, playing the Belgian team and going out in Florence to Central Park (a club). I also liked the city of Venice. In Venice, I liked how the city was built on the water, it was real unique. The city is just like how it was in the movie "The Italian Job." I also thought that St. Mark's Basilica in Venice was amazing; it took 400 years to build. The floors, ceilings and walls were all murals, sculptures and statues.

The food in Italy is pretty good. My favorite pasta is Rigatoni Alla Sorrentine, but right now I cannot wait to get home to eat American food, I do not want to see another noodle; that is all we have been eating for every meal except breakfast. The only real American food out here is McDonald's, and I really do not eat at McDonald's too often in California, but out here it tastes so good compared to Italian food.

Well, Italy is cool and the people are pretty nice, but they are also pretty musty out here. I have enjoyed this trip a lot and appreciate the opportunity, but I cannot wait to eat real food and get in my own bed. I am excited for the basketball season this year because. I know we will be much better and everyone is excited and ready to do whatever it takes to have a good year.
